American Lutheran Church (1961-1987). President (1930-1960)

Hide Profile

The American Lutheran Church met biennially as a delegate body in October, the time and place of which was determined by the president and Board of Trustees. It was one of the many responsibilities of the president to make preparations for these conventions. After 1950, much of the work of the president in this area, however, was accomplished through his appointment of a convention manager who would make the necessary plans and arrangements and manage the business affairs of the convention in consultation with the president and the Board of Trustees.
