The Registration and Records and Calendar Committee of North Carolina State University was established in April 1969 by the Executive Committee of the University Board of Trustees. It is charged with providing advice and recommendations to the University Registrar regarding the university calendar, and other registration and records procedures. The committee typically meets once early in fall semester and once early in spring semester. An additional meeting each semester may be scheduled if needed. A new 3-year academic calendar is recommended to the Chancellor and published online each year to discuss necessary updates, and any changes are presented to the University Registrar prior to submission to the Chancellor for approval. When considering future calendars, the committee relies on several sources, including but not limited to: feedback from the campus community, requests from student government, and annual reading days surveys.
