Stuart, James, 1788-1844.
Beaufort, South Carolina plantation owner and physician. James Stuart, son of Dr. James Stuart, Sr. (d. 1810), attended medical school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Stuart married Mary Martha Campbell (d. 1845) in 1809.
