John T. Lloyd was an entomologist, chemist, pharmacologist, and drug manufacturer.

Son of John U. Lloyd, J.T. Lloyd received his Ph. D. from Cornell, and taught biology there. In 1920, he joined the firm of Lloyd Brothers, and in 1938 founded his own firm, John T. Lloyd Laboratories.
