Kettle River Railroad Company (Sandstone, Minn.).
The company was organized in 1886 to link the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad to the Sandstone quarries (2.3 miles). The poorly located line was unsuccessful and the company's stock was sold in 1891 to its competitor, the Eastern Railway Company of Minnesota, a GN subsidiary. Its tracks were all removed by 1894.
