Adams, Joseph Martin Reuter, 1838-1917.
Joseph M. R. Adams, son of John and Sarah Sanderson Adams, lived and worked on his family's farm in Durham. In 1900 he opened up the house as a summer resort, which he ran until his death in 1917.
