Henry Trowbridge and his wife Flora (Lancaster), a graduate of Hollowell Academy (1883), met in Maine, married in 1885, and moved to Denver, Colorado. They lived in Denver, Cripple Creek, and Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Los Angeles, California. Henry Towbridge was a prominent attorney, he was the prosecuting attorney during the Cripple Creek Bull Hill strikes, and a district attorney for the Fourth Judicial District. Daughter, Grace, was born in Denver. Graduated from Colorado College and taught school in Denver, Colorado. Married Everett Simeon Shaw, a pioneer in petroleum geology.
