Winchester, Jonas, 1810-1887
Variant namesWinchester was a pioneer and journalist, of San Francisco, Calif., who served as editor and part owner of the San Francisco Pacific News, and as Calif. state printer, 1850-1851. He was involved in the Globe Gold and Silver Mining Company in Monitor, Inyo County, California.
