Foreign missionary, teacher, and librarian; native of Wedgefield, Sumter County, S.C.; 1923 graduate of Winthrop College (Rock Hill, S.C.); 1926 graduate of The Biblical Seminary (New York City); foreign missionary assigned to the Philippines, 1926-1931, under sponsorship of Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A.; completed library science studies at University of South Carolina and Winthrop College; librarian, 1942-1957, at The Citadel (Charleston, S.C.); wife of Robert J. Shaw; born 1903; died 1991.
