Magill family.
Edward M. Magill was a prominant Quaker teacher and was President of Swarthmore College from 1872-1889. He was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the son of Jonathan P. and Mary Magill of Solesbury Monthly Meeting of Friends. In 1852 he married Sarah Warner Beans.
