Minnesota native. Earned a private pilot's license in 1940 and in Mar. 1943 joined the Women's Flying Training Detachment (later part of the Women Airforce Service Pilots) at Sweetwater, Tex. Served at Maxwell Field, Alabama; Shaw Field, S.C.; and Randolph Field, Tex. Following WASP deactivation in Dec. 1944, married Col. James A. Finley; three children. Active in post war WASP organization, serving as national president and regional director.
