Painter, illustrator, educator; Detroit, Mich.; b. 1908; d. 1967.

Culver, primarily a watercolorist, founded and headed the watercolor department at the Art School of the Society of Arts and Crafts in Detroit, Michigan. He was the art critic for the Detroit Free Press, 1966-1967.
