Lay missionary; born Lawrence Duane Goldberg on September 26, 1945, in a Jewish family in Baltimore; converted in 1964; educated at Moody Bible Institute (General Bible, 1964-1965), Ben Gurion University (BA in Behavioral Sciences, 1968-1973) and Wheaton College Graduate School (Clinical Psychology, 1995-1997); worked as a missionary with Operation Mobilization in Austria and Israel (1965-1970); granted permanent residency in 1974; worked for mining firms in the Dead Sea area (1972-1995).
