Both Frank S. and Edwin J. McWilliams, as presidents, were active in state and national savings bank associations and in civic affairs. In its last ten years, Fidelity installed an extensive marketing program; it conducted surveys related to new or proposed banking services, computer utilization, customer relations, branch locations, etc.; and undertook planning and goal -setting exerceses. Due to changes in the mortgage market and federal regulations, Fidelity also rearranged its investment portfolio.
