Born 12 Aug. 1790; educated at Williams College and Princeton Theological Seminary. Served at Norwalk, Conn. for 7 years, then at Albany, N.Y. until Feb. 1829, when he was called to the pastorate of the First Presbyterian Church, Buffalo, N.Y. He served at Buffalo until Mar. 1834, when he accepted a call to Paterson, N.J. He remained in Paterson until 1837, and then served four years at a church in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He died in Troy, N.Y. on 14 May 1844.
