Minerva Society (Hope College)
The Minerva Society, organized in 1896, was the first women's literary society at Hope College. During its early years Minerva was the only society available to women, both in Hope College and Hope Preparatory School. As Hope College grew, the Minerva Society became exclusively for girls in the Preparatory School.
