Duluth, Superior and Western Terminal Company.
The company was incorporated by Great Northern interests in 1897 to take over the foreclosed Superior terminal facilities of the Duluth and Winnipeg Terminal Company. In 1900 it also acquired 5 miles of track serving its terminal and linking it with points in Duluth and Superior. It operated these properties until 1908, in which year its terminal operations were transferred to the Allouez Dock Company (another GN subsidiary) and its rail line to GN. The company was dissolved in 1918.
