Harrison William Fox was born on August 6, 1919. He grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1941 he received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction option, from North Carolina State College (now University). He also received degrees from the other higher education institutions. He was an engineer, contractor and builder, and financial institution executive. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. Later in life he returned to St. Petersburg, Florida, where he passed away on January 7, 2007.
