Boeker (b.1942) served in the Marine Corps from 1965 to 1967.

After honorable discharge at the rank of corporal, he worked in the meat industry, taught business at Edgewood College, and served as education consultant with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Boeker eventually settled in his hometown of Madison (Wisconsin).
