Mergens, George C.

George C. Mergens was a United States (U.S.) Army officer. He graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA), West Point, in the Class of 1923. He was assigned to the infantry branch and was sent to duty stations at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and the Philippines. He saw action with the 1st Air Service Command during WWII. After the war, he was stationed in Japan and Korea.
