Military Order of the Purple Heart

Richard J. Olsen, Commander of the Order (of the Purple Heart), Hugh A. Brown, and Leo S. Jensen were residents of Athens, Georgia. William C. Moncus was a resident of Danielsville, Georgia. All were recipients of the Purple Heart.
Leo Stanley Jensen was a professor of Poultry Science at the University of Georgia. He also wrote a book entitled, Dear folks: personal letters and memoirs of an American foot soldier in the Second World War.
