Klement, Vera, 1929-

Klement studied at the Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture (graduated 1950). After moving to Chicago in 1965, she became a founding member of the "Five" group of artists, who protested the orientation of Chicago art during the early 1970s. She has been a professor of art at the University of Chicago since 1969.
