Bernard William Kearney (b. May 23, 1889, Ithaca, New York-d. June 3, 1976, Venice, Florida), Reserve Major General, U.S. Army, and Member of Congress, was a member of the New York National Guard, serving on the Mexican border and overseas in the First World War in various outfits (1909-1919). He retired from the Guard in 1940. Kearney was a law school graduate and member of the New York Bar. After serving as a city judge, assistant district attorney, and district attorney (Fulton County, New York, 1931-1942), he was elected as a Republican and served eight terms in the U.S. Congress.
