Hopkins family.
Timothy S. Hopkins, 1776-1853, born in Great Barrington, Mass., settled in Amherst, N.Y. in 1804; held several town offices. His son Timothy A. Hopkins, 1806-1894, was sheriff, supervisor, justice of the peace and member of the state legislature.
