The Rice Millers' Association is a non-profit national trade association of the United States rice milling industry. Membership is composed of independently owned rice milling companies and farmer owned cooperative rice mills in Arkansas, California, Florida, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. RMA members process and market almost all of the rice produced in the U.S. and recently have become increasingly involved in selling rice directly to foreign buyers. Primary functions are: collection, compilation, analysis, and distribution of economic and statistical information related to all phases of the rice industry in the U.S. and abroad; to promote friendly relations and act as a liaison between the rice industry and all levels of the U.S. government and foreign governments; to stimulate and promote rice research; to arbitrate disputes between members and customers; to assist in the establishment of quality standards.
