H. Thomas Kearney was an instructor in the History Department of North Carolina State University from 1970 to 1978.
Kearney was involved with Transition, a program conducted by North Carolina State University during the 1970s and beyond. Billed as “an alternative freshman year,” the Transition program brought together about fifty freshmen for a small-scale group learning experience. In a residence hall setting, the students took courses in English, History, and Social Studies.
