Lober, Georg John, 1892-1961
Variant namesSculptor, New York, N.Y. Born in Chicago, attended the National Academy of Design, Columbia College; studied under Alexander Calder. Works include the George M. Cohan statue in Times Square and the Hans Christian Andersen statue in Central Park, in New York City, for which he won international acclaim.
