Martin, Wylie, 1776-1842.
Wylie Martin came to Texas in 1823 as one of Stephen F. Austin's "Old Three Hundres", settle near Brazoria, and was an active participant in the events leading up to and during the Texas Revolution. Following the war Martin became chief justice of Fort Bend County and was elected to the sixth Texas congress.
