Olive Lydia Earle was born in London, England, in 1888. She attended a private school in England and National Academy of Design, New York, N. Y. She wrote and illustrated nature books for children and also illustrated on nature subjects for encyclopedias. Her work was exhibited in group shows at American Museum of Natural History, Brooklyn Museum, Los Angeles Museum, and elsewhere. She died in 1982.
