Smith, W. A. (William Alexander), 1843-
Variant namesWilliam Alexander Smith attended Davidson College from 1859-1861. He left college to serve in the Confederate Army. He was wounded in the war and returned to the college in 1863. He was graduated in 1865 and was a merchant and farmer in Ansonville, N.C.
