The Muhlestein family lived in Utah and Colorado.

Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Conrad was born on 21 March 1875 to Charles Conrad and Mary Elizabeth Holdaway in Provo, Utah. She married Christian Hyrum Muhlestein on 1 January 1896 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had eight children together. She died 3 March 1938 in Provo, Utah.

Christian Hyrum Muhlestein was both 1 September 1870 in Provo, Utah, to Nicholas Muhlestein and Mary Hauenstein, who had settled in Utah in 1863 after emigrating from Switzerland. In 1891 he was called on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Switzerland and Germany. He married Mary Elizabeth Conrad on 1 January 1896 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had eight children together. He worked as a coal miner. After his first wife’s death in 1938 he married Theresia Maria Egger on 22 November 1938 in Salt Lake City. In 1947 he was called as the patriarch of the East Provo Stake in the LDS Church. He died 27 June 1958 in Provo, Utah.

Herrick Tune Muhlestein was born to Mary Elizabeth Conrad and Christian Hyrum Muhlestein on 10 August 1916 in Somerset, Colorado. He moved to Provo in 1936 where he attended BY High, graduating in 1937. When World War II started he was deferred three times because of his eyes. He then moved to Burbank, California, to work for a while. He later moved back to Provo and worked for Geneva Steel. He started as an armature winder, but then became a motor inspector, the job he would enjoy the rest of the life. He married Cleo L. Lewis on 6 June 1945. They had a son, Daniel Herrick, and then divorced in 1949. He married Joyce Terry in the St. George Temple on 30 June 1952. They had seven children together and adopted one more. They fostered many other children throughout the years. He died 11 February 1976 in Orem, Utah.

Joyce Terry was born 21 September 1931 to Royal Terry and Tressa Langston. She married Herrick Tune Muhlestein in the St. George Temple on 30 June 1952. They had seven children together and adopted one more. They fostered many other children through out the years. In addition to raising her family she spent a lot of time with music and genealogy. Joyce died 12 February 2003 in Provo, Utah.
