Gorbachev, Ḟeodor.
An immigrant from Russia in 1922, Gorbacheff studied at Columbia University (M.A. 1932), and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was widely known as a choral conductor during the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. He taught privately at his studio at 1904 Milvia, Berkeley, and also composed music for the Russian Orthodox liturgy.
