Nights, Benjamin.

Wing served as a Michigan Territorial Delegate to Congress, 1825-1829 and 1831-1833; as a Representative from Monroe County, 1842; and as a member of the Board of Regents of the University of Michigan, 1845-1850. Born in Mass. on Feb. 3, 1792, he graduated from Williams College (1814) with honor. Wing came to Detroit in 1814, eventually settling in Monroe. He also served as Sheriff of the Territory of Michigan and U.S. Marshall during the the Polk administration. By occupation he was a farmer and lawyer. Wing died on Aug. 25, 1849. (Information from Michigan biographies, v. 2, p. 460.) Noble served as a member of the Legislative Council from Wayne County, 1828-1830, and as a Representative of the same county, 1855-1856. He was born on July 4, 1797 in Mass. He graduated from Williams College (1815) and was admitted to the bar in 1818. Noble then moved to Ohio, later settling at Monroe (Mich.). While there, he served as Justice of the Peace, Register of Probate, District Attorney, county judge, and Lawyer General of the U.S. northwest of the Ohio River. He was the first president of the Mich. Southern Railroad, and a cashier of the Bank of River Raisin. In 1867 he moved to Detroit where he bought and sold pine lands in the firm of George S. Frost & Co. (Information from Michigan biographies, v. 2, p. 146.) No information is available on Nights.
