Indianapolis Casket Company
The company was incorporated in 1907 in Indianapolis and South Dakota; it was sold and relocated to Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana (1908-1910); and was moved to Indianapolis in 1910. The company manufactured caskets and specialized in custom-made caskets for funeral homes throughout the Midwest and Kentucky. The still-functioning business was sold in 1984 and the building demolished to make way for a parking lot.
