McGregor, Thomas, 1837-1921
Army officer; Major Thomas McGregor served in the Indian Wars in Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and South Dakota. He was commanding officer at Fort Whipple in 1870; returned as commanding officer of Fort Bowie from 1890 to 1893, then was briefly assigned as commanding officer to Fort Grant from 1898 to 1900. The photographs were probably taken by his daughter, Agnus McGregor.
