Mr. Edwin Twitmyer was born about 1856 in Pennsylvania. He came to Washington State about 1889. By 1908 he was the principal of the Bellingham High School and living in Bellingham, WA with his wife, Alice. Edwin and Alice moved to Olympia, WA about 1921. Edwin had become the State High School Inspector for the Washington State Dept. of Education. He remained in this position, although the title of his job and the title of the Department may have changed, until about 1930 when he retired. It is unclear when Edwin passed away but his wife Alice moved to Seattle, WA around 1941. It appears that Edwin predeceased her. Alice passed away in 1943 while living in Seattle, WA.
