Uberroth, Preston H.

Preston H. Uberroth, born Pa. Captain in U.S. Revenue Cutter Service, writer. Appears in U.S. Revenue Cutter Service Officer Register published in July 1892, promoted to Second Lieutenant, November 6, 1891, assigned to U.S. Steamer "McLane" November 13, 1890. An article by Lt. Uberroth is included in The New Navy of the United States, by N.L. Stebbins, a volume of superb photos of various sailing ships of the late 19th century.
