Eicher, Kay.
Kay and Edward Eicher were involved with the successful struggle to keep New York State from locating it low-level radioactive waste (LLRW) dump in Allegany County. They were steering members of the Allegany County Nonviolence Action Group (ACNAG) and helped run the Caneadea (N.Y.) Concerned Citizens organization. One of the potential dump sites was next to their home, which became the communications center for protest actions at that site. They subsequently fought a successful fight against a proposed landfill on the same site.
