The Iowa Corn Growers Association was founded in 1968 as an organization of corn growers dedicated to addressing issues that support and help improve the Iowa corn industry. Membership dues help finance the Iowa Corn Growers Association's lobbying and legislative efforts in both Iowa and Washington, D.C. The association is affiliated with the National Corn Growers Association, which was founded in 1957 by Iowa farmer Walter Goeppinger of Boone, Iowa.
