Peter Van Dresser was an environmentalist and solar energy advocate. He initiated the solar project at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico and was one of the founders of the New Mexico Solar Energy Association. He worked with the New Mexico State Planning Office on a rural rehabiliation project and was an advocate for the Decentralist Movement, a back to the land movement of the 1940s and 1950s.
