Berkeley Day Nursery.
The Berkeley Day Nursery was a non-profit corporation founded in 1908 by a group of Berkeley women to provide child care for mothers working outside the home. It was managed and maintained by a paid and volunter staff. It functioned until 1965 when state requirements for child care centers were increased. The organization dissolved on December 11, 1969.
