The Reverend Charles Barrington King (1823-1880) was the son of Barrington King (1798-1866) and Catherine Margaret Nephew King (1804-1887). He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1845 and finished his theology training at Princeton in 1848. While living in Savannah, Georgia, King preached at First Presbyterian Church and White Bluff Presbyterian Church. He was also a visiting pastor at Bethesda Home for Boys. He was survived by his wife Anna Wylly Habersham King, three daughters, and five sons.
