Dakota Territory. Governor (1866-1869 : Andrew J. Faulk)
Born at Milford, Pennsylvania, November 26, 1814 and died at Yankton, South Dakota, September 5, 1898. As governor, Faulk did little more than maintain the status quo although he spent considerable time granting railroad charters. Supported efforts to open the Black Hills to white settlement.
