Jordan, Lucretia Mott Churchill, 1898-1979.
Lucretia Mott Churchill Jordan studied at Radcliffe, 1916-1920, but did not complete the requirements for the A.B. degree. She taught in Boston, and after her marriage to H. Donaldson Jordan, professor at Clark University, operated a nursery school, taught at the Bancroft School and was involved in civic volunteer work.

The daughter of Frank Spooner and Lucretia Mott Hallowell Churchill, and great-granddaughter of abolitionist Lucretia Mott, Jordan was born on November 16, 1898. After attending Radcliffe College (1916-1920), she taught school in Boston and Worcester, Mass. In 1923 she married H. Donaldson Jordan (Harvard 1918), professor of history at Clark University. They had two sons and one daughter. Jordan died on February 24, 1979, in Washington, D.C.
Lucretia Mott Hallowell Churchill (1867-1958) was raised in the Boston area. After her marriage to Frank S. Churchill (Harvard B.A. 1886, M.D. 1890), she moved to Chicago, where she did volunteer work for charitable organizations.
