Preston, Leander A., 1838-1907.

Leander A. Preston moved with his parents from northern Ohio to Strawberry Point, Iowa in 1853 and taught school there for several years. In May 1860 he traveled to Yuba City, California by ox-cart with his wife, child, and in-laws--a journey that took nearly a year. Preston lived in several areas of California prior to his death at Garden Grove in 1907.
