Sewall family.

Family of Henry Sewall who was born in York, Me., on Oct. 24, 1752. He took part in the Revolutionary War as part of a Falmouth [Portland] company and rose to the rank of general. After the war he lived in Hallowell where he was active in local government. He married Tabitha Sewall in 1786 and after her death, Rachel Crosby in 1811. He had seven children, all with his first wife. Henry Sewall died on Sept. 4, 1845.
