Carson, James Petigru, 1845-
Variant namesNew York and South Carolina engineer, mineralogist, author, and inventor. A graduate of the Columbia College School of Mines, he was the son of Caroline Petigru Carson (1820-1892), and the grandson of James Louis Petigru (1789-1863).
