Civic activist and consultant Judy Hart graduated from Cornell University (A.B. 1963) and Goddard College (M.A. 1976). Part of a neighborhood group opposing placement of a power plant in a Boston residential neighborhood, she later worked as a relocation specialist for the state of Massachusetts and the Federal Highway Administration (1968-1975). Beginning in 1976, Hart worked for the National Park Service in the Boston area and in Washington, D.C. She was later instrumental in the development of the Women's Rights National Historical Park (Seneca Falls, New York) and Rosie the Riveter World War II Home Front National Historical Park (Richmond, California), and served as founding superintendent for both. After 2005, she continued work as a heritage development consultant nationally.
