Chambers, William A., 1898-1985.
A native of Kentucky, Chambers settled in Indianapolis after serving in World War I and worked as a journalist and writer. He edited three black Indianapolis weekly papers, and wrote stories about the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920s. Later in life he wrote fiction.
