During the Allegany County (N.Y.) protests against the siting of a low-level radioactive waste dump within the county, several municipalities passed local laws between 1989 and 1993 banning radioactive waste dumps within their borders. Pulos was the town attorney responsible for the drafting and enactment of these laws.
